The Hunt review

Posted : 3 years, 11 months ago on 24 April 2020 08:16 (A review of The Hunt)

Spoilers: A group of strangers are hunted over their political views. Which is the real reason it was delayed. Not due to the shootings going on.
The film tries to fool you who the hero will be. In the beginning. Yet, the poster spoils that. The recognizable actors die way too quick as shockers. I wasn’t shocked since the trailer actually shows one of them killed.
The Hunt is a goofy and violent film with not much of a plot. Except that we have to choose who’s side we are on. If you are Democrat, do you side with them or Republicans they are hunting.

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade review

The best action and adventure next to Raiders of the Lost Ark. Harrison Ford and Sean Connery have great chemistry. River Phoenix makes a great young Indiana Jones a well.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull review

Posted : 3 years, 11 months ago on 24 April 2020 08:13 (A review of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull)

A goofy yet fun some-what fun time. Which definitely isn’t necessarily a good thing. When Spielberg and Lucas took 20 years to agree on a script they liked. Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull should have been so much better.
There’s more comedy than adventure. With Cate Blanchett playing a silly Russian villain who thinks she can read minds. You also have Shia Leboeuf swinging on vines with monkeys. Among many other head scratching moments.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey review

Posted : 3 years, 11 months ago on 24 April 2020 08:12 (A review of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey)

A pleasant start to what is an unnecessary trilogy to one book. With a lot added to drag on the story.
Either way the films are at least faithful to the Tolkein universe. Mostly everything added is from epilogues and short stories I believe. Except for Evangeline Lilly’s Elve character and her romance with a Dwarf.

The Abyss review

Posted : 3 years, 11 months ago on 24 April 2020 08:10 (A review of The Abyss)

The whole reason James Cameron made the movie. Was due to dreams of tsunamis. So it’s weird that scene is only in the director’s cut. With aliens threatening to crush humans with a giant wave. It adds more to the movie.
Either way the Abyss was the strongest of the submarine underwater creature movies of 1989. Due to Cameron as director, fine effects and a great cast.
As well as more of an original story than just Alien underwater. Which the other underwater movies from 1989 were like. The Abyss is more about peaceful aliens that don’t like the violence humans cause.
